Simpsonville Sentinel Newspaper: "Defending the people's right to know"
The Simpsonville Sentinel: Our Mission
A few years ago, we saw a need for a strictly local newspaper, and are happy to bring this paper to the Simpsonville community.
The Simpsonville Sentinel’s mission is to enhance the Simpsonville community by publishing accurate and balanced news, information and entertainment stories that enlighten and elevate our lives.
At The Simpsonville Sentinel, we believe that this newspaper can and should cover all the myriad sides of life in this city: the government, the education system, law enforcement, retailers, the people, the opportunities, the challenges, the everything – the whole wide wonderful world of life in this lovely Southern place.
Our aim is to create a dialog within the community about the news. By presenting stories as events with histories to be explored, we hope to plant ideas, start crusades, and mold public opinion. We will investigate both sides of a story to report the who, what, why, where, when and how with fairness and integrity.
Simpsonville is already a lovely place to live and work. In working to sustain and even improve our city, we must applaud those who encourage and promote our success and we must register dissent with those whose policies or activities we question. We invite the public to participate in this adventure by contributing opinions in the Vox Populi section or our Facebook page and by contributing ideas about stories of community interest to the main telephone number. Your comments will always be valued.
